Day 16 Character
“Show me the man you honor, & I will know the kind of man you are. It shows me what your ideal man hood is, and what kind of man you long to be.”
We are all imperfect, but when we sell our honesty and our integrity we build a lasting reputation. Build on the qualities that you know in your heart will make you great. Then hold on to them firmly, and take a look at the new you.
Day 14 Vulnerability
“Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run then outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.”
- Helen Keller
No one can emotionally wound you, only you can. Emotional vulnerability is key to connection. Allow people to see beyond the facade. Don't strain your self trying to be perfect and selfless. Give your self permission to be flawed.
Day 13 Gratitude
“He is a wise man who does not grieve for the things which he has not, but rejoices for those which he has.”
Inspiring leaders are always greatfull. They know that their success is largely due in part to birth and circumstance. Simply give thanks to those around you. Recognize their part in the bigger plan, and say thank you.
Day 4 Empathy
“We don't set out to save the world; we set out to wonder how other people are doing and to reflect on how our actions affect other people's hearts.”
- Pema Chodron (Buddhist Teacher)
Sharing and understanding some one else's pain, it's a gift worth finding. Put your self in some one else's shoes, and try to be of comfort to them. Be empowered knowing that you are conscious of the emotions and pain of others. You are unique in that way.
Day 3 Strength
“No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.”
Strength is only a matter of will power and self discipline. The two combined create the perfect ingredients for success in all areas of life. It's your refusal to satisfy useless, harmful, and unnecessary desires that make you powerful. Abstaining from negative reactions and intentionally acting contrary to your useless habits will sharpen and strengthen your inner self
Day 1 Belief
“He who thinks he can, and he who thinks he can't. This is an exorable and indisputable law.”
- Henry Ford, (1863-1947) Industrialist
Belief is a state of mind, and can be controled. Simply, belief defines a principle or idea that we judge to be true. Trust yourself. Give yourself permission to try and try again. Meet failure with opportunities. Every failure is a lesson to be learned. Your doubts are only thoughts, not your future. If you believe you can you will manifest success. Now go retrieve your victory.
So you just got pulled over, and you know you've been drinking. Worse..you have a friend with you. So, there is no way out of this one.
Your taken to jail, and have no way of contacting any one for 48hrs..
No one knows where you are, how you feel, and or if you are alright. You are alone, and surrounded by restrictions and predators.
Where would your head be at?
Now your depressed, in debt, and looking for some thing..
STOP LOOKING FOR MOTIVATION.
Motivation is only a spark for what you think you need to be doing.
Adopt a new word...
It's time to adopt a new way of life.
Get rid off all the negatives in your life.
if that's drugs, people, your job, habits..what ever get it out of your circle. Disconnect your self from all of the negative accolades of this life.
Make a plan for the new you, and don't look for the hand of motivation.
GET OFF YOUR AS AND DO IT
WOWZERS MY BLOOD PRESSURE WAS WHAT!!??
Yeah, I think you kind of guessed it. I have a high blood pressure, and don't get me wrong I'm not kicking the curb in the health department. I've always been a healthy person.
I try to eat pretty clean. My fitness habits are always changing, but are habitual. I am a gym fanatic! So, why was I so surprised when I was told my heart rate was 156 over 134!?
By the way the second number is the resting heart rate. My heart was beating that fast WHILE I WAS SITTING STILL.
Think about the habits in your life. Are you staying up late? Are you
eating a ton of candy in the morning and evening? Do you even get up out of your damn bed during the day?!
Well, I've been consuming 2 to 4 energy drinks a day for a while now. Don't get me wrong. I know that's a little more than the doctor ordered....k maybe a lot more. BUT in my defense, I work 60 to 70 hour weeks. Some times the extra energy helps..
But was it worth it!!
The answer numbnuts is IN FACT NO!
So I did a little reconnaissance and decided to find out just how much caffeine/ other things I was consuming..
Just to put it simply..COFFEE has one ingredient..coffee..
One can of NOS energy has an extra 20 ingredients added including caffeine.
I guess the day I was at work and my chest started hurting should have been a clue..but nope.. drank another and the pain went away.
See all the extra stimulants caused my heart to have forced contractions.
I had withdrawls (LIKE A DRUG), causing painful headaches and moodswings..when trying to quit for a day!
My sleep cycle was for shite. Believe me! After having a few micro naps while driving...yeah you'll think twice about drinking these..
So what am I doing...
I'm cutting my self off. Think twice guys. Moderation is a scarry game, cause soon it turns to a dependency!
WORK HARD, STAY STRONG, AND GET RESULTS!
This is my check in from the last 34 days. clean eating, yoga, pushups, and a shit ton of water.
using muscle confusion, body weight excersizes, and cardio..I cut 10 lbs. BOOM REALIZE YOUR OWN DREAMS
WORK HARD STAY STRONG AND GET RESULTS
It's that time again. Every month I assess my goals and my vision. Tomorrow I re evaluate my focuss.
I'm going to try a 30 day run at a few specifics.
The focuss will single out these few goals:
1. save $1000
2. finish 30 sessions of morning yoga
3. drink one gallon of water a day
4. increase protein intake 100 grams
5. read 1 book on success
6. invest $150
7. walk enough miles to earn $25 for a charity
I started tonight with an evening of stretching and 3 glasses of water.
The past two months I've fallen into a rut. Eating unnatural sugars, sodas, staying up too late, and not getting into the gym as much as I would have liked, has made my body tired and feeling week.
TIME TO BREAK THE BAD, AND CONSUME THE GOOD. Here's a before pick so we get to share our progress together!
"The only time you should look back. Is to see HOW FAR YOU'VE COME!"
REMEMBER WORK HARD, STAY STRONG, GET RESULTS!!
